Bastion is an EarthWorks Industrial security vessel associated with Keystone. Its work is protection and escort, distinct from the ordinary unarmed ships carrying out the company's industrial operations.
A bastion is a defensive structure. The name belongs to the same architectural family as Keystone and Foundation, with an emphasis on protecting what has been built.
Company security is not a sovereign navy. Bastion's role does not grant it state military authority or establish a capital-warship classification. Its exact weapons, size, command crew, and permissions remain undefined.
